Started in May 2016 as a Skype replacement for my friend group. I'd found Discord before most people had heard of it and made us a server with a plain controller icon. It was never meant to be a "community project"; it kept growing into one anyway. Holiday merch giveaways, game nights, years of running jokes, and eventually its own website. The icon has changed with every season, and the same people are still talking to each other.

The server for the Long Night & Azor Ahai mod for A Game of Thrones. Patch notes go up here first, bug reports get answered, and load-order questions get sorted out before they ruin anyone's campaign. It's the newest of the four and it's filling fast.

The official server for the Crusader Kings III Supernatural mod. Report bugs, pitch ideas, ask questions, and have a say in where the mod goes next. Player input has driven a lot of what's in it already.

Which one you actually want

Four servers sounds like more than it is. They are not four versions of the same room, and joining all of them is usually the wrong move.

If you play one of the mods and something is broken, go straight to that mod's server — The Long Night or Supernatural. That is where patch notes land first and where load-order problems get sorted out, usually by another player before I have even seen the message. It is the fastest help available anywhere, including email.

If you found me through a video, the Den is the one. It is the server attached to the YouTube channel: uploads, what I am building, and whatever I am currently obsessed with.

If you just want somewhere to hang out, The Game Center is the oldest room and the least on-topic one. It has been running since 2016 and it is mostly people who have known each other for years talking nonsense. The whole story is here if you want it.

If your problem is with an app, Discord is the slowest route. Use the support page instead — app problems need details like your device and version that are easier to send by email.

How these rooms are run

I have been moderating Discord servers since 2016 and I have landed on a fairly boring philosophy about it, which I think is the correct one.

Bug reports are welcome and blunt ones are the most useful. "It crashes when I press the button" is worth more than a polite paragraph that avoids saying what broke. If you are annoyed at something I made, say so — I would rather hear it than have you leave quietly.

Nobody has to be interesting to belong there. I wrote messages years ago for people who join a server and then never speak, because sitting in a room where everyone already knows each other is genuinely hard and that should not be the thing that stops you. Lurking indefinitely is a completely acceptable way to use all four of these.

What I do not run is a hype server. There is no engagement bot, no levelling system, and nothing that pings everyone. If I have shipped something you will see it once.
