Get help
If you found a bug, hit a snag, or have a feature idea, I’d like to hear about it. Everything here reaches one person (me), so be as specific as you like.

Where to write
Anything sent to contact@dlonem.com reaches me, so if you are unsure, use that. If you already know which app you are writing about, its own address gets there a step faster. Each one is listed on that app’s privacy policy page, alongside the policy itself. Replies come from officialdlonem@gmail.com. That is us, not spam; the @dlonem.com addresses receive mail but cannot send it.
For the Crusader Kings III mods, Discord is faster than email. Bug reports land in front of me and the rest of the community at the same time, and someone has usually hit your problem already:
- The Long Night Discord, for The Long Night & Azor Ahai
- Supernatural Discord, for the Supernatural mod
Getting a faster answer
I aim to respond within a few business days. To help me help you faster, include:
- The app or mod name, for example Tiny Dragon Hoard or The Long Night
- Your device model and Android/iOS version, or for a mod, your CK3 and AGOT versions
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
- For a mod, your load order and any other mods you are running (most mod problems turn out to be two mods disagreeing)
A screenshot is worth several paragraphs. If an app crashed, telling me what you tapped immediately before it happened is usually the single most useful detail.
Questions that come up a lot
Where is my tracking data stored?
On your device. The Break Buddy apps keep what you enter (history, notes and reminders) locally. I do not collect it, and I cannot read it. That is also why I cannot recover it for you if a phone is lost, which is what the in-app backup export is for.
Do I need an account?
No. None of the apps need an account. Tiny Dragon Hoard offers an optional Google Play Games sign-in for leaderboards and achievements; everything else works without signing in to anything.
Is there a subscription?
No. The apps are free, and where there is a paid unlock it is a one-time purchase. I am not going to charge you monthly for a habit tracker.
I bought the unlock and changed phones. How do I get it back?
Your unlock is tied to the store account you bought it with, so signing in to the same Google Play or App Store account restores it. Note that restoring one of the app’s own backup files will not carry the unlock across. Entitlement always comes from the store, never from an imported file, and the apps are written to keep it that way.
When is the iOS version out?
THC Break Buddy is on the App Store now. Caffeine Break Buddy, Nicotine Break Buddy and Tiny Dragon Hoard are Android-only for the moment. Each app page shows its current status on both stores. That is the page I keep up to date, so it will always be ahead of anything I could write here.
A mod is not working. What should I check first?
Load order and conflicting mods, in that order. Both mod pages carry their own FAQ covering load order, compatibility with other mods, and whether you need to start a new save; see The Long Night & Azor Ahai or Supernatural. If you are running both of my mods together, you also need the compatibility patch, which is explained on the mods page.
Can I install the mods without Steam?
Yes. Both mods have a manual download route with step-by-step instructions, linked from the mods page.
Something in an app looks wrong or overlaps
If text is colliding or a ring looks squashed, check your phone’s system font-size setting first. A very large display font can push layouts past what they were designed for. Tell me your font-size setting when you report it and it saves us both a round trip.
Feature ideas
Feature ideas are welcome, and a fair number of the things in these apps started as somebody’s email. I cannot promise a timeline, and I will tell you if something does not fit the app rather than leaving you waiting on it.
